Specialized Support (Equine)

Service Description

Vet-directed support and recovery care for horses requiring structured monitoring, specialized clinical treatment, or post-operative assistance. Recovery Support: Administration of prescribed oral/topical medications, injections, eye treatments, wound care, bandage changes, and post-operative monitoring for vitals (temp, respirations), gut sounds, incision health, and comfort. Observation & Updates: Includes post-travel or post-procedure monitoring for appetite, mobility, and overall behavior. Basic farm duties (such as feeding, fresh water, and blanketing or fly gear adjustments) are completed as health and time permit. A detailed care summary report, update, and photo are provided with each visit. *All orders and tasks must be verified with the prescribing veterinarian prior to any services being provided. An additional horse may be added on, depending on the care needs of the primary horse and time required to perform tasks safely.
